The ProblemThe devices on the market were bulky and stigmatizing. Patients avoided using them. Clinicians couldn't monitor adherence remotely. The result: poor outcomes, preventable hospitalizations, and rising costs. Niterra saw an opportunity to build something better.
What We Built-
Moda Smart Oxygen Therapy was designed as an integrated ecosystem combining a discreet, next-generation portable oxygen concentrator with embedded health sensors, a patient mobile app, and a remote patient monitoring platform for clinicians.

Moda Sense delivers real-time tracking of SpO₂, respiratory rate, heart rate, and activity in a device that is significantly smaller and quieter than leading competitors reframing oxygen therapy from a stigmatizing medical device into a lifestyle-enabling solution.

A clear pathway was established from Moda Sense to Moda AI, introducing AI-driven exacerbation prediction and personalized interventions positioning Niterra as a leader in preventative, long-term respiratory care.
OutcomesModa emerged as a market-validated venture with a clear path to scale. The platform is positioned to capture a $160M market, reach profitability by FY2028, and launch an AI-enabled next-generation version by FY2030. Leadership designated Moda a priority initiative. Prototypes proved real-time patient monitoring is feasible.
